Merchandising
Duo Apparel BD has a strong, experienced merchandising team. The main job of a Garment Merchandiser is to oversee the entire process of a garment factory from production to marketing. This includes communicating with buyers, making samples, procuring raw materials, supervising the production process, and ensuring timely export of garments. Our merchandising team is committed to performing its duties properly.
Buyer Communication
Communicates with international buyers/brands. Understands buyer requirements (style, fabric, trims, colors, packaging, delivery). Prepares and submits quotations, samples, and price negotiations.
Costing & Pricing
Calculates the cost of fabric, trims, accessories, labor, overhead, and profit margin.
Submits the price to the buyer for approval.
Order Execution & Production Follow-up
Prepares time & action (T&A) calendar to track order timeline. Monitors raw material sourcing (fabric, trims, labels, packaging). Coordinates between purchasing, production, quality, and shipping departments. Ensures production runs smoothly and on schedule.
Quality Assurance
Ensures raw materials and finished garments meet buyer’s quality standards. Works with the quality control team to resolve issues quickly.
Logistics & Shipment
Prepares shipping documents (invoice, packing list, bill of lading).Coordinates with freight forwarders, customs, and buyers for timely shipment.
